Family Matters

So yesterday was my second Batman game. I didn't get more models yet so I had to field the same dynamic duo. This time they were up against the league of shadows again but Ras'Al sent his daughter to settle the score after his defeat. 5 ninjas, namely Ying, Yang, Lotus, Shadow and a league agent formed Talia's crew for this plunder mission. How did this family feud turned out ? Let's see...

We were playing the plunder mission so all objectives were set up in the middle of the table. Even outnumbered, the batpod gives enough movement to answer to any threat on the field. Damian started by batclawing into position to get a good look at Talia. Bruce started strong by rerolling his failed solving roll on a riddle to own it like a boss with a 6, thanks to detective, scoring 3 points from the starting block.
Things didnt' go so well for Damian however who tried to solve the second riddle but miserably failed by rolling two consecutive 1's, costing 1 vp to his team. The proximity of his mother might have confused him there...
The ninjas rushed for their objectives while one of them got caught up a bit in the climbing rules, boggin' him down on the far side.

Damian then threw his batlings at the league agent holding the ammo crate, knocking her out for good. Things then went downhill for the little fellow, as mommy came to spank him real hard, despite his defence counters at full! He just couldn't hold on long enough for daddy to come settle the score.

The league did a good job at holding their objectives, while Batman now by himself and off his bike couldn't control the elusive ninjas. I tried a last push after knocking out Yang by rushing to Talia with the firm intention to knock her out and grab my ammo objective but she took her titan dose and put all on defense, while the two remaining ninjas were free to score their points unarmed. First try on Talia was a total miss and I had one last shot on the final round to kick her ass but the Batman couldn't shake off his affection for Ras'Al's daughter and miserably failed again to even deal a single stun damage with his reinforced fists.

It ended 13-5 for the league of shadows but the game was closer than the score shows; this game was really fun and my opponent was a good sport all game long. We didn't get caught up in rules or anything, validating any grey zone quite fast. I really like this game and I will get some more minis soon, as well as some terrain so stay tuned for more!
